Firstly, Happy New Year!
Forgive me lovely people for I have sinned, it has been .... well a while since my last confession and I have very little to offer by way of reason other that this strange thing we call ...err ....'life' getting in the way.
With 2009 firmly behind us all it is on to those exciting and inevitable pastures new! Last year was a strange one for me, make no bones about it. I managed to achieve a couple of my lifetime ambitions, namely being happy with and releasing my debut album, getting said album played on lots of local and national radio stations, and then found myself almost immediately (due to circumstances beyond my control and things I'd rather not go into here) unable to do much about it. I'm Sorry!
Still, with all that now to one side the work has been done and the record made so it is now time to play some shows! With a couple of gigs in January starting this coming Tuesday at:

For those of you that have never been this is a lovely venue with great sound and has in the past hosted the likes of Paolo Nutini, KT Tunstall and Tom Baxter to name-drop but thrice. I would of course love you to come along and listen and it is all available at the frankly astonishing price of £0 (zero) of your earth pounds sterling!

Another amazing sounding venue, it's actually a 16th century tithe barn set in the Essex countryside and is always a packed house with some other great acoustic artists on the bill. In fact I would say this is probably my favourite venue in the UK and is guaranteed a great night out!
Due to the relatively inactive 2009 it feels very much, and in many ways IS, a re-release of the Skimming Stones album. I will be accompanied onstage by the marvelous Charlie Amadeo on backing vocals, Steve Amadeo on bass and the new addition to clan Sefton, the superbly talented "Peach" on acoustic guitar we are chomping at the bit (insert your own 'Sefton the horse' gag here) to show you what we can do!
So, if you can, put on your favourite wellingtons and come along to one of these shows, we would love to see you!
*Just to make it even more tempting - the first 3 people that shout out to me (between songs or after the gig) the words "Aston Villa is the greatest football team of all time!" will receive a free album! I know, I know, I know, I am just too good to you! Oh and you HAVE to mean it otherwise it doesn't count! Ha ha ha
